"ooh, the new pulsar 220 cc , 20 Bhp , max speed 140 km/hr ".."hey! look at that..the new Apache RTR 180 ..so powerful..it goes upto 135 km/hr " ..isnt it the normal response when u you lay your eyes on these wheels ?..by the way .i got a simple queston..what do you guys look for in a bike ? looks ? power ? handling? riding comfort ? ...and why do u need these bikes ? these macho machines ..why ? ..ask your self these questions ..and if u come up with answers like.." the thrills of the speed" and " its a beautiful ride "..i could just nod at your statement..cmon answer truthfully..the most common truthful answer is;' to impress the ladies '.. ;) ..that would me my answer too ..but some observations changed my riding habits..
here are some of the observations..
* you burn rubber at almost 100 km/hr ..u go so fast , none of the pretty ladies would even get your number plate
* girls dont look at number plates
* to impress some girl on another bike you weave through traffic ..dude what if she dont have the same skills to follow you to see how good you ride.
*your bike better look good, keep it sparkling .
*go moderately slow , give them enough time to admire your ride and you ;)
*when you go 'vrooom ' past them , they aint sayin " look how fast he rides " ..but " that fool is gonna get himself killed "
* you go fast , you might miss some beauty by the bus stop ;)
there are more than just these reasons to go slower
* petrol man..none of these macho bikes hav milage above 40 km/l
* look at this traffic ( if you are in the city ) ..the moment u hit top gear ..its either a stupid auto or traffic light
* bad roads .u spoil your bike and it aint exactly a massage to your your spine.
* really bad roads
* you start observing things you never noticed before..
but the above aint the reasons that changed me..these are
* i would love to get back home and hug my mother and go " amma , im home"
*ride responsibly, cos u have no idea how much a mistake can affect peoples lives
* im resposible for my own life, but i dont want another person or family to suffer for any mistake of mine .
*when you have someone you love behind you ,putting themselves in your care , trusting you ..hope you dont try to impress them with speed and rash riding..you really want to put the one you love at risk ?
* better reach the destination late than never ..
